Virtual Party is an interactive resource designed to provide youth with information about alcohol, drugs and mental health issues emphasizing healthy choices and the reduction of harm. The stories were written by groups of Ontario youth, from Peterborough, Halton and Toronto communities. It was focus tested in all regions of the Province. The project was developed by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Web site design by Richard Heslett Web Site Development Studios. Music by Otonabee Groove (contact whatleyben@hotmail.com).

Contributing Partners:

This site was revised and redesigned in 2001. The first Virtual Party was designed and produced in 1999 in partnership with the Peterborough County-City Health Unit, in consultation with TeenNet.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) was created in 1998 through the successful merger of the Addiction Research Foundation, the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, the Queen Street Mental Health Centre and the Donwood Institute. Underlying all of the Centre's efforts are two principal tasks: advancing our understanding of mental health and addiction, and translating this knowledge into practical resources and tools that can be used in our own programs and in the broader community.
