About Cannabis |
As the drug wears off you'll likely feel tired and sleepy. People who use a lot of cannabis every day can become physically dependent and suffer withdrawal symptoms when they stop using the drug. For a week or so they may have trouble sleeping, feel anxious and irritable, and lose their appetite.
Smoking cannabis affects your body and your behaviours. Smoking a lot of cannabis over a long period of time can damage your lungs and can make asthma and bronchitis worse. Cannabis smoke actually contains more tar and cancer-causing chemicals than tobacco smoke. People usually smoke cannabis less often than tobacco but inhale more deeply and hold the smoke in their lungs longer.
