Virtual Party is an interactive resource designed to provide youth with information about alcohol, other drugs and mental health issues, emphasizing healthy choices and the reduction of harm. The stories were written by groups of Ontario youth from Peterborough, Halton and Toronto. It was focus tested in all regions of the province.

The first Virtual Party was designed and produced in 1999 in partnership with the Peterborough County-City Health Unit, in consultation with TeenNet. Contributing partners at that time included:
· Regent Park Focus Media Arts Program
· Regional Municipality of Halton Health Department
· Early Psychosis Intervention Project, Canadian Mental Health Association, National Office.

This site was revised and redesigned in 2001 and again in 2005. The current design for Virtual Party was developed by Team Technologies Inc. (http://www.teamti.com/).
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's leading addiction and mental health teaching hospital. CAMH transforms the lives of people affected by substance use and mental health problems by applying the latest in scientific advances and through integrated and compassionate clinical practice, health promotion, education and research.
